Can I download the application online?

Can one application be used for more than one position?
No. Each position requires a separate application, as each recruitment is maintained in a separate database.

What is the last date to turn in my application?
The closing date of the job recruitment is listed on the job flyer. Applications received after the closing date will not be considered.

Can I have another application in case I make a mistake?
Our goal is to limit one application per applicant. However, we understand that special circumstances may arise, in each case, we will try to accommodate accordingly.

 Is there anything else I need to turn in with my application?
If additional documents are required; i.e., copies of certifications, this information will be clearly listed on the job flyer under employment standards.

 Can I indicate “see attached resume” on my application where it asks for experience or do I have to actually fill in that section?
As indicated on the employment application, the application must be completely filled out and a signature is required. If additional space is needed to list experience, you may use the back of the application or a separate sheet of paper following the same format.

 Will you accept a resume in lieu of an application?
No. An original application is required for all positions.

 Can I submit an application for a position that is not open or posted on the Job Line?
No. The City only accepts applications for positions that are currently open.

 If I pass the test, am I guaranteed an interview?
Only those candidates achieving the top scores will participate in the Interview Panel Evaluation.

 How many openings are there for this position?
The number of openings can vary depending on the type of position; i.e. seasonal, part-time, management, non-management, etc. In some cases, this information is not available. However, all positions posted have at least one opening, unless otherwise stated.

 How long will my name remain on the eligibility list?
For full-time positions, the eligibility list is valid for six months and may be extended for an additional six months. For part-time positions, the list is valid for six months.
