Community Services Department

The Community Services Department plans and conducts a wide range of recreational programs and activities as well as being responsible for the design and development, maintenance, and repair of all City owned buildings and facilities.

Recreation specific facilities include 18 parks, 2 golf courses, 1 swimming pool, and 5 multipurpose buildings.

Inspection/Maintenance Programs

• Joshua Tree Inspection Program
  Joshua trees on undeveloped land are protected by City Ordinance No. 1224. Grading a site, removing or damaging Joshua trees prior to completing the inspection procedures may result in fines and/or penalties for the property owner/developer.
