For this reason, Household Hazardous Waste must be handled and disposed of with care in order to avoid polluting the environment and causing possible health hazards.

Household Hazardous Waste products, items, or materials cannot be placed in the green bin for trash or the blue recycle bin and should never be poured on the ground or down drains. These materials must be handled carefully and can be taken free of charge to the Household Hazardous Waste Collection Center.
