How do I address the Council and/or express my concern for an item not on the agenda?
Every City Council meeting provides time for a Public Comment period. To do this, before the City Council meeting begins, complete a white speaker card indicating Public Comment and return it to the City Clerk. The Mayor will call your name during the Public Comment period of the meeting. The speaking time limit for public comment is 3 minutes. The City Council is not permitted (by law) to take any action on issues raised during the Public Comment period, but they may refer matters to the staff for response or official action at a future date.
