Development Department

The Development Department combines all operations related to Planning, Building, Engineering, Inspection, and Code Enforcement under the building/housing codes within the City of Victorville.

Development conducts comprehensive plan review in accordance with applicable codes for the Planning, Building, Fire and Engineering aspects of new development.

The Development Department includes:

Planning

  • Pre-Submittal meetings to outline all material required for public hearing
  • Entitlement of property through Planning Commission hearing

Building

  • Plan check, permitting and inspection of new development projects

Development Engineering

  • Infrastructure and improvement plan check including streets, sewer, storm drain and water.  Also performs plan check and recordation of subdivision maps and documents.

Code Enforcement

  • Enforcement of all City ordinances
